It was the 10th Century Scotland and it was a time of war. And though man’s battles seemed foolish and wrong to my kind we lent our aid to a group of them. Guardian’s protecting our castle and the people in it until the day the tide of war was turned by a betrayal and my kind was wiped out. Nearly.

A small and fortunate group remained alive but cursed to sleep for a thousand years until the castle that was our home would rise above the clouds. And in a modern day New York it did, and we were reawakened.

Now I and my clan protect New York as we did our own home all those centuries ago. The ways of man are still puzzling and the dangers have grown over the years, but we have grown accustomed to being wary and selecting our allies carefully. It is a new age and the Gargoyles go into it hoping for peace, but prepared for War.

Goliath is an extremely large creature with an impressive wingspan. Though the wings are not built for outright flying he can glide. His talons on hands and feet are powerful enough to rip through steel and his tail is prehensile and can be used as a weapon at times. He is incredibly strong and when angered his eyes glow and he is almost unstoppable.

Being a Gargoyle means that Goliath turns to stone during the day. This helps him to heal faster and regain energy, but he is also extremely vulnerable in this state. In Milliways however he does not go into stone hibernation. It is an odd occurrence for him and isn’t quite able to explain it.


Goliath is from the cartoon Gargoyles, and is the property of Disney. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in milliways_bar, from which no profit whatsoever is being made. He comes into Milliways from the end of the first season and the episode "the edge".
